Construction commenced fall of 2017 on The Grad San Jose, a 19-story high-rise student residential tower, located just one block from the campus’ main entrance. The Grad San Jose will feature 260 fully-furnished apartments / 1,039 beds, including a mix of single and double occupancy bedrooms to accommodate different student living preferences. The 543,234 square-foot building will include 17 floors of student residences and a multitude of amenities over a 14,750 square-foot double height retail space, as well as a four-level garage. The garage will be topped with a half-acre recreation deck inclusive of a resort-style pool, spa with lounges and cabanas, Wi-Fi access, several BBQ’s and seating areas, shuffleboard and bocce ball courts, large outdoor movie screen, beautiful landscaping and a 2,600 square-foot state-of-the-art fitness center. Academic amenities will include, public and private study rooms, computer lab and multi-purpose theater/presentation room. The Grad San Jose will be welcoming SJSU students fall of 2020.
